Duke Kahanamoku is widely regarded as The Father of Modern Surfing, introducing the sport to mainland America in 1912 and continuing to popularize and share the sport around the globe.
Considered one of the greatest surfers of all time, Duke Kahanamoku was a true waterman, in every sense of the word. Not only did he introduce surfing to the mainland, he was an Olympian, a shaper, an actor and a true ambassador of the “aloha spirit”.
