We kicked off 2022 with an exciting new partnership with Beam Impact, a mission-driven company using the power of capitalism to raise more money for nonprofits.
Starting January 1st, 2022 until the day humans evolve out of the need for socks, Socksmith will be donating 1% of all sales to your choice of four nonprofits.
Fancy words, but how does it work?
As far as our sock lovers are concerned, Beam Impact takes 1% of your order at checkout and donates that money directly to the nonprofit. The best part? You get to choose which organizations you want to support!
Whether it is a single pair of socks, a Sock of the Month subscription, our epoxy-free water bottles, or our eco-friendly bamboo collection, Socksmith has pledged 1% of every order to benefit responsible, wholesome organizations working to make Earth a better place to live.
Why are we doing this?
If you are new to Socksmith, you should know this is not our only campaign to help our planet. We also donate 10% of the proceeds from our Endangered Species collection to help support wildlife conservation.
Similarly, our Outlands USA collection is made to be as ecologically friendly as possible (manufactured in the USA from upcycled textiles).
All we are saying is that this is not our first rodeo; we are constantly on the lookout for ways to become a stronger community-first and ecologically responsible company!
What nonprofits can I donate to?
We've selected four organizations which are close to our hearts at Socksmith. Each of the nonprofits below were selected by our owners. We've made each milestone tangible, and when we've achieved each goal for each nonprofit, we'll start over. You can see our progress above.

A message from Beam Impact
“Our founders made Beam because they realize a lot of us want to make a difference every day, and we have to buy stuff all the time.
With that, most of us (91%!) would prefer to spend our money with brands that are *actually* mission-driven (meaning they directly donate to nonprofits, practice consistent responsible business practices, etc.) but it is tough when we are not really sure which brands are walking-the-walk, rather than just talking-the-social-media-talk.
For the brands actually donating to causes, they are having a hard time reaching people who care about those same causes. That’s where Beam comes in.”
