At Socksmith Design, we are committed to making our Shopify storefront accessible and inclusive for all visitors, including those with disabilities. We believe everyone should be able to navigate, shop, and interact with our content without barriers.
Our Accessibility Approach
We strive to follow WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines, and we are monitoring the release of WCAG 2.2 for further improvements. Our goal is to create an experience that is usable for as many people as possible.
Here’s what we’ve implemented:
- Clear and consistent navigation across pages
- Descriptive alt text for product and lifestyle images
- Proper use of headings, landmarks, and labels for screen readers
- Keyboard navigability throughout the site, including on product filters and the checkout process
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background elements
- Dynamic content (such as pop-ups and modals) that is manageable via assistive technology
- Ongoing reviews using accessibility tools, and Shopify's Theme Check
We are continuously updating our theme and content with accessibility in mind, especially when launching new products or collections.
