We want to keep you in the loop as we navigate upcoming tariff changes that will impact product pricing in 2026. Here’s what to expect, and how you can prepare:
What’s Happening?
New tariffs are anticipated to go into effect later this year, and we’re currently assessing how they will impact our product costs. While we’re still waiting on final details, we want to be as transparent as possible with our wholesale community.
- New tariffs are anticipated in the second half of 2025. We are waiting for tariff costs to stabilize later this year to ensure clear and sensible pricing for 2026.
- Pricing for Spring ’26 and beyond is still being finalized.
- Tariff-related pricing adjustments will apply to all products shipping after December 31, 2025.
What You Can Do Now
- We recommend reviewing your product margins and pricing strategy for Q4 2025 now. These changes will likely require higher pricing to maintain healthy margins and keep your business financially stable. Socksmith is holding current prices throughout 2025, so there’s no need to worry about immediate price changes from us.
- Socksmith will maintain wholesale/MSRP margins of 60% or higher for retailers in 2026. This is part of our commitment to support independently owned and operated brick-and-mortar stores.
- Socksmith will be updating retail pricing this September — we encourage you to consider doing the same.
- A suggested MSRP sheet will be shared later this year.
When to Expect More Info
We’re hoping to have a more concrete update by September 2025. As always, we’ll share any developments with you as soon as we can.
Thank you for your partnership and continued support—we’ll get through this change together, and we’re here to help every step of the way.
If you have questions in the meantime, don’t hesitate to reach out to your sales rep or email us directly at customer.service@socksmith.com.
