National Dog Day

Happy National Dog Day! A day of celebration and recognition for dogs, that was founded in 2004. The creator, Colleen Page, created the day to bring attention to the plight of animals and recognize all that dogs do for us on a daily basis. Dogs work diligently every day to protect and comfort us. As Colleen says, “All a dog wants to do is love you and be loved by you.”

Here at Socksmith, we have such a love for dogs that we even have some furry coworkers! Meet Fable, a super cutie that assists her human in designing some of our awesome Socksmith socks! Below is an exclusive interview with Fable, who only agreed to sit down and be interviewed in exchange for treats.

Do you have any nicknames?

Oh yes, I have a lot of names! Poof Collie, Pom-Pom, Punkin, Princesa Consula, Boo, Wedge Head, Boo Bear, Shnooties, or my industry name p.$. When I was just a pup I went by Baby Bear, but I’m too old for that now.

What is your job at Socksmith?

Director of Grumble Greetings

What is your favorite Socksmith sock?

The one with mackarooney. I lovvvve mackarooney!

What do you like to do outside of work?

I’ve taken up staring lately, either into people’s souls or out windows. I’m really big into ball. I try to make time for ball every single day. I go to the beach a lot. That’s the best place to ball. I also dabble in squirrel. On the weekends I compete in agility trials.
